Burning

Yesterday we made candles for craft, and we burned a few of the wicks, on which I used the work lighter and then placed the lighter in my pocket.

Once leaving I then headed to Commy pub and unloaded my pockets with all my stuff and found this lighter, Howie then arrived and I decided to see what happens if I burn Howie’s hair.

I have found from experience that hair usually singes but something different happened it started to burn, yes not singe but burn a little flame started and burn away 2cm of a clump of hair. This sent Jenny & me into hysterics, we proceed to do it again

Howie is a candle.

Friends

I decieded to look up what is a friends….this is what I found

A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts.
A person whom one knows; an acquaintance.
A person with whom one is allied in a struggle or cause; a comrade.
One who supports, sympathizes with, or patronizes a group, cause, or movement: friends of the clean air movement.

I was just thinking am I a “friend?” Something to reflect to… I do like the third one… “A person with whom one is allied in a struggle or cause; a comrade.” I think this is great if we as friends so stand and be comrade with our friends. I hope that I am a Comrade and not take the high road.

Travelling

I enjoy traving around with friends. Even just those times sitting on a train and you look across at your friend and just laugh…for no reason but to have company

Christian Music

To be honest I have a ton of christian music, which I am not saying a bad thing. I have been working either full time or now sort off and on for Koorong and we get cds cheap, so I have made my collection of music all up of christian music. The only non-christian cd I have in my cd case are The lord of the rings trilogy & Michael Buble out of the 24 cds that I carry around with me.

Both Howie & Jenny at work has been slowly been welcoming me into the non-christian music scene and I have been very much getting into Diesal & On and On by Mr Jack Johnson. The thing that scared me was going to Borders and Sanity with Howie and not having a clue what any of the music was and howie got some dvd and I have no idea.

I think I need to change a few things I do I must say have a problem paying $30 or so for a cd but I need to get over it..so I am.

Anyway I think I am going to have to start making some investiments…..

Back to study

Word of the Day-Fecund

Good old dictionary.com have a thing called word of the day and of course everyday that have a new word which is not really used in normal converstation.

For example todays word is Fecund which means;
1. Capable of producing offspring or vegetation; fruitful; prolific.
2. Intellectually productive or inventive.
For Example: For 21 years after the birth of the Prince of Wales, the fecund royal couple produced children at the rate of two every three years — eight boys and six girls in all

So the challenge is to some how today is use that word in a normal converstation with out it seeming out of place.

50th Blog Entry

Well this post in my 50th blog post. I have been blogging since september 1st. It is very exiting that I have lasted this long! I do love blogging.

Anyway I am loving this weather at the moment, I do love rain but the office has some smell that is really gross it has like a wet stale smell but anyway thank God for “Rexona Forces For Men” cause it takes the smell away for about 5 minutes but the smell is back.

Anyway today I am finaly going to get a Haircut, I have not got my hair cut for about 2 months now and it looks terrible. The problem I have with Hair cuts is that they cost so much, like $20 for a good cut (unless you go to Michael the swearing head dressser who works near the old pub in hornsby, he swears alot and he used to work at a mates hear shop…so I can’t go there)

I am also going to get a few x-rays I love X-rays I am getting a few, like 5 of them which is really fun. Once set I am getting is my mouth the dentist wants to see if my wisdom teath need to come out-we shall find out!

Happy Birthday Jenny

Happy Birthday JENNY

Here is a happy birthday song from Ireland (Don’t you love Im Feeling Lucky on Google)

On St. Patrick’s Day, I was born.
America my home, my heritage unknown.
T’was two years ago on a musical journey
I found Ireland on the wings of a note.

O Ireland, how I long for your valleys and mountains!
How I long to see your hills and streams.
From my home ‘cross the ocean, I hear your voice singing,
“Happy Birthday from Ireland, my child of the green!
La la laa, la di la laa, la laa di la la
Happy Birthday from Ireland, my child of the green!”

My Da played the tunes on squeezebox and fiddle.
And the songs they were tuned to the harp in my soul.
St Paddy, ye never told me that I was Irish.
‘Till I heard your voice singing, bringing me home.

Now two years have passed and Ireland sings with me.
In every song that flows from my voice and from harp.
But I see your eyes smiling and your arms wide open.
From the way your children open their hearths and their hearts.

I have a legal copy of the MP3 if any body wants it..
