Sad times aye…

Well it is time to say goodbye to sweet tasmania, leaving town in about 10 minutes. Its hard to say goodbye to the crisp moutains, the wonderful valley, the warm coldness of the place, the amazing water and really the most wonderful and fantastic community of friends, collegues, & mates that I have ever met.

Sydney, oh big place which now seems so big and noisey is again about to become home! Rohan found a quote for me, when going through life don’t just follow the path, but create new ones and form a path! well something like that.

I am feeling sick which I think is both my feelings and just like the body isn’t mate to be a machine like I push so often. In the last 3 weeks it would be a normal think to only get a few hours sleep, but hey im fine.

A new jouney is beginging! Good times yay! hahahhahah (Just for Fiona thats not a mask)

Man lost job for being ‘dead’

A Romanian man returned from his holiday to find he had lost his job because he had been declared dead.

Valentin Lefter, 20, from Focsani, said he was shocked because he’d only been away for two weeks.

He returned from his summer break to find a letter from wine-bottling company Prodecam Vanatori.

“The letter, addressed to my wife, apologised for my passing away and said any outstanding payments would be sent to her within the next month,” said Lefter.

When he rang company bosses, they apologised and said the letter had been sent out because of a computer error.

But they said he could not have his job back because they had already employed someone in his place, reported local media.

He now plans to sue the company for £10,000.

Horse with hay fever

A horse has to sleep on shredded newspaper because he has the equine equivalent of hay fever.

If Teddy is exposed to hay or straw, he starts coughing and wheezing as if he were having an asthma attack.

Owner Samantha Ashby, 19, also has to damp down his feed to get rid of any dust spores, reports the Mirror.

She said: “Straw and hay are banned from his stable. If he is exposed to the dust spores, he looks really pitiful and very chesty.”

Samantha, of Exhall, Coventry, keeps a supply of medicine ready to treat Teddy if he has an attack.

Vet Paul James said: “It is similar to hay fever in humans in that it causes a narrowing of the bronchial airways, which allow air into the lungs.

“In an ideal world, we would give Teddy a permanent anti-histamine or steroid inhaler. But prevention is better than cure. I would advise he is kept away from hay completely.”

Car crashes into Car Crash

A newly opened restaurant called Car Crash has had to close down - after a car crashed into the building.

The car lost control in wet weather and smashed into the entrace of the restaurant in Santiago.

Owner Nancy Araya says she named the restaurant Car Crash because the area was an accident blackspot.

She told Las Ultimas Noticias: “It is unbelievable, it is black humour that a car crashes into Car Crash. The restaurant is now a joke.”

Nobody was hurt in the accident. The restaurant is expected to reopen within a week.

Art show too raw for public

Personality, I think this is a great idea, especially after the exhibition imagine the feast. I wonder if she also helped served the finger food? Another bad joke..things brings a new dimension to stuffing your face with food…..

An artist has shocked gallery visitors by filming herself with her face covered in raw meat.

Gabriela Rivera’s video forms part of a controversial exhibition at Santiago’s Sala Juan Egenau gallery.

She said: “My work is a metaphor for the relationship that people have with themselves every day when they look in the mirror.”

The exhibition also includes videos of women urinating in the street and smashing boiled eggs with their hands.

Las Ultimas Notician reports that many visitors have complained that they found it disgusting.

Bogus cops steal loo roll

Thieves posed as police officers in Russia to steal thousands of rolls of toilet paper.

The robbers dressed as policemen to make three loo roll laden trucks stop as they travelled from St Petersburg to Moscow.

When the drivers got out to show their identification they were bundled into a waiting car and driven to a forest miles away.

Meanwhile, other members of the gang made off with their cargo of toilet paper.

Police said the attack was not the first of its kind and trucks with cargos of sausages, pork and coffee had been hijacked in St Petersburg by robbers posing as policemen in the last few months.

The chapter is closing

Well it is the count down for me to leaving tasmania, in around 6 or 7 days I will get on a plane and head pack to Sydney to begin a new chapter and alot of new things. For me it is really starting to hit home I am live so much where I live and the people I live with and I would go so far to say I live in real community, and the way life was meant to be!

It will end soon but I think that its ok, because I can take what I have experiance here and make it into my own life, my own friends, and my own community that around me.

It is funny goodbyes here take more than a few minutes but it goes in stages, I finished my C4, then I had 2 busy weeks where I didn’t think of it and now that life is changing, I have moved out of my house and living in just a room in the backbackers it is starting to hit me! Live very soon will change and I think for the good. I have just finished my last show on the radio station that I have worked on for the last 7 months every thursdays from 9-12 with Fee & Chris which have become really good friends and I am really hoping to contiune and start something in Sydney but it is really hitting home that I am leaving but I am so exitied about the new things that are going to happen, and all the people I am going to see!

I am going to miss the moutains, the sunsets, the mist in the valley, my 45minute drives into launceston with Ben my house mate, my friends and my community but I am sure God will place new things!
