Fun all around

Well I have not really blogged in a long time! Im sorry I have been really slack in both my blog and my newsletter! Sorry! Anyway well what a busy time it has been.

Last Thursday
I had a day off, I like days off they are fun! So…I went to my parrents of Wednsday night, caught up with Alex & James L. Thursday went to Macquire with James E that was cool saw Matty at Star Bucks. I like star Bucks but today I got a white choclate Mocha but at the top it was just coffee with no white choclate and then at the bottom it tasted gross it had so much white choclate I even tried stirring a number of times but it still didn’t help anyway. Disapointed I think I will have to go to gloria jeans for white choclate mocha.

I then had lunch with Howie & Jen it was good! I like Westfield in Hornsby, as Howie would say it is returning to the womb. Anyway that was good I like Oporto. In the afternoon I went to the cafe saw Sam & Justine, that was good I pained a sign sawing “Hi Howie” but howie painted over it! That was a good day!

I also went to Lowes to look for some clothes, didn’t find anything but I found a nice hat for bowlers!

So then Friday I worked that was good, Saturday had a good day. I did so much driving Campsie to mordale, back to campsie, campsie to chelora, back to campsie, campsie to blue mountains, blue mountains to campsie, campsie to mortdale and back, campsie to chelora, chelora to some place, some place to Mcdonalds in Enfield they were closed and I don’t know this side of Sydney so Levi and I drove to Thornleigh to go to Mcdonalds but that was so busy with 2 bus loads of dissapoined Wallibes fans so we went to Waitara got some food to about 12:15am then we went to campsie and got home about 1 that was such a busy day.

So yesterday Levi & I went to church, then I went to have lunch with Ben. So I drove to Terry Hills then went to Mona Vale for lunch. We went to Chicken Plus and got a Mona Burger that was so good, it was so good.

This is just a personal note to Ben in Tassy who I used to live with, he though that I liked paper well this is a photo to disprove him.

Icy poo prompts burglar alert (Just for howie)

Just for Howie!

A family who woke up when a window smashed in the middle of the night found a frozen lump of excrement on the floor.

Walter Fleischmann thought his house was being burgled when he heard a window in his son’s bedroom shatter.

He called the police then went to investigate - only to find an icy lump of waste which had fallen from a plane.

Mr Fleischmann, 63, from Baden in Austria, said: “When I heard the glass smash I thought somebody was trying to break in and immediately called the police. It was very quiet though and so I got out of bed and went to have a look.

“There was smashed glass all around my son’s bedroom and in the middle a big chunk of what looked like dirty ice. Luckily our son was staying at a friend’s house otherwise he could have been injured.”

The family’s house insurers however are refusing to cover the full costs of the damage.

Local air space authorities who were contacted by the police confirmed it was a piece of frozen waste from a plane.

Just some wierd news

Prisoners nearly tunnel out of jail

A gang of prisoners tunnelled out of a Brazilian jail - only to emerge in the prison yard.

The 67 men emerged just 30 centimetres short of Timoteo Prison’s main perimeter wall.

They had painstakingly planned the break out but failed to build the tunnel long enough.

As they emerged from the tunnel, they found guards already waiting to take them back to their cells, Jornal da Globo reports.

A police spokesman said: “They were so frustrated and we could not hold our laughter, they were really dumb!”

Lazy postman faces jail

A lazy Italian postman is facing up to 10 years in jail after he filled his home with thousands of letters he could not be bothered to deliver.

Police found almost every room at the home of postie Antonio Piras, from Ittiri on Sardinia, jammed with sacks full of letters.

They ound thousands more stuffed in the boot and under the seats of his car, and even in the garden shed.

Locals had complained that none of them had received a single letter or package through the post since March.

Some had their electricity cut off after failing to pay bills they had never received, news website Tgcom reported.

Police said Piras has been charged with illegally holding other people’s private property.

A spokesman said: “It appears he was just plain lazy and couldn’t be bothered to deliver the letters.

“People will get their letters delivered to them now, it will just take a while for the other postmen to work through the backlog.”

ouple marry after 52 years

Degree in air guitar

A student is studying for a degree in air guitar.

Amanda Griffiths is researching the craze for a PhD reports the Mirror.

The idea came about when she won an air guitar heat in Manchester in 2002 and was later asked to appear on Radio 4’s Women’s Hour.

Professor Sheila Whitely, Chair of Popular Music at Salford University, was also on the show and suggested she do a doctorate in air guitar to add to her Performing Arts degree.

She is due to travel to Finland later this month for the World Championships.

She said: “We were discussing why there were so few women involved, and the professor invited me to do research under her supervision.”

Amanda will look at “codes of performance within the air guitar phenomenon.”

Swiss launch skater cop squad

Swiss police have replaced horses with roller skates to save costs.

Nine women and 25 men make up the roller-cop unit who are able to cover their beat in Zurich five times faster than their flat-footed colleagues, and at a fraction of the cost of keeping a horse.

Police chief Philipp Hotzenkoecherle said: “The skaters have replaced horseback patrols that were disbanded because they became too expensive and impractical for modern police work.”

And police director Esther Maurer said: “The police on skates are as much of a spectacle as the mounted police. They carry out more or less the same tasks, but are a lot cheaper to manage.”

The cost of operating the entire skating unit is no more than the maintenance of just two horses and Maurer believes skaters are more versatile than mounted police as they can negotiate rough terrain like flights of steps and quickly remove their skates if necessary.

Patrol member Cornelia Gruber said: “It is a way of combining your hobby with your profession.”

Unit head, Marcel Schaeffer, admitted his officers have to be aware that people can push them over easier when they are on skates, but said: “If people want to do that to these officers then they had better be able to run very fast, because when we are back on our feet you won’t be able to get away from us very easily.”

Doll houses for the homeless

I found this on the weird news, but at the same time I don’t think that it really is a way of making things better at all, I think it is just a bandaid solution;

Homeless children in Brazil have been given doll houses to live in.

The houses, given to children in Sao Paulo by a housing association, are one and a half metres tall.

Local priest Julio Lancelotti said: “This is in fact a denunciation of the lack of housing programs for the homeless.”

The association’s president, Lusia Lopes da Silva told Agora: “People get desperate by the winter cold and my little son had this idea and we thought it was good.”

Mountain to get loo

There are plans to build a toilet on Australia’s highest mountain peak.

The new pump-out toilet facility would cut into the side of a hill on Mount Kosciuszko in the New South Wales reports ABC.net.

National parks area manager Andrew Harrigan said: “It’s been pretty obvious on the main walks from Thredbo and Charlotte Pass that people need to go.

“They were ducking behind the rocks in various places and on a still day on the rocks on top of Mount Kosciuszko itself you might get the waft of urine.”
