Well last few days have been fun! A good friend has been up from tassy to see his girlfriend; but I got the opportunity to spend a day & a half with him. We had a top time, didn’t take too many pics :(.

I picked Doyle up in Bidwill on Wednesday, we drove back to mine for a little while, watched some tv, cooked him breakfast & just had a good time. Took him to Newport for Chicken Plus lunch. Then up to Rhodes to Ikea, then back to Hornsby for coffee & to visit Steve. Out to Krispy Kreme in Penrith, then to the comedy show. We then did the crazy drive into Sydney to Pancakes on the Rocks. It was a amazing time of laughing & talking showing Doyle the sights of Sydney & getting to know him better. We return to mine at 2:30am and we went to sleep.

Yesterday Morning we got up, went to Budha Belly in Terry Hills then dropped him back at his girlfriends. It was just amazing; I have known Doyle for about 5 years but this was my first time to spend some quality time. Come back Doz.

On Wednesday night, with Doyle, Ruby, Lucy, Dave, & 2 other randoms we went Penrith Panthers to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Road Show.

We watched Tom Gleeson, got a few laughs, told a long story which was funny but was to long. I had high hopes for Tom after been a huge fan of skithouse & didn’t meet my expectations 6/10. We saw another guy Eddie Eidd he was funny, enough funny for me to buy his $20 cd but disappointed listening to it because it was all the same jokes. I sort of felt sick listening to a guy tell the same jokes 2 years ago in the middle of American, what a boring job. Also 6/10. Anyway saw 2 others 1 girl she was crap (2/1) another American he was funny (7/10) can’t remember his name & the mc/warm up guy gets a 2/10.

Overall scores company 7/10, comedy, 6/10 overall 6.5/10.

Well over the last few months I have been getting new things. Eg a new car & a new mac. So with my contract ending its time for a new phone. So arriving monday or tuesday is my new Dopod 838 Pro. Yay

On 2nd July, Crowded House will release ‘Time On Earth’, their first release in over 10 years. The long-awaited new album contains 14 songs and, in old Crowded House tradition, the album cover features a Nick Seymour painting. The band were joined by Johnny Marr on two tracks, ‘Don’t Stop Now’ and ‘Even a Child’, which he co-wrote with Neil Finn. The album also contains ‘Silent House’, which Neil co-wrote with the Dixie Chicks, and whose version of the song has been released previously.

The album was recorded at Roundhead Studios, Auckland, at RAK Studios, London, and at Real World Studios, Wiltshire, and produced by Ethan Johns (Kings Of Leon, Ray LaMontagne) and Steve Lillywhite (U2, Morrissey).

I am so exited!

Today I woke up had to had to head to work rather fast, open up my door & there in a big box is a 24in Imac. I struggled should I take a sicky just to play with it. I didn’t but tomorrow 11.10am. Not long now!

Well its been raining a bit & I don’t own an umbrella, so every where ive been going I have been getting wet. Until today when I open my boot & there is a 6 umbrella’s a friend put in my car. So no more getting wet, at least for a while. Just wish I knew that before I got wet today.

In the last hour my phone has rang 12 times…anybody else wanna talk to me?

Some people might be aware of the Steve Irwin Crocodile Hunter ride outside of kmart in Hornsby. Its like a truck ride that kids get on & get to ‘drive’ with steve on the back & the number plates “Crickey”. Now when he was alive I have no problems with the ride but now? Not sure he’s dead, personally I wouldn’t let my kids ride on the ride with a dead guy behind me.

Its like the gps’ that have peter brook’s voice, that would be weird.

First with Alex, he’s going overseas to the end of the year & so we had to continue the breakfast eating tradition.

I am re-reading the book small is beautiful by Eric Schumacher.

Its one of those books that for everything that is stuffed in this world, he talks about. Its worth a read; ive got a copy of it.

This quote stuck out to me this morning; “Are there not indeed enough ’signs of the times’ to indicate a new start is needed?” Personally I think so. Question is how am i gonna make that change.

Well today was a busy & long day. Had Jono & Sarah’s wedding out in the sticks somewhere out of Penrith. Thanks to ‘Mio Mike’ the gps for getting me there safely. Also a public shaming on McDonald’s M4 East bound for no coffee for car peeps & not doing coffee from the cafe. Anyway back to the wedding.

I arrive there at about 8:30, the wedding started at 10ish. I filmed the wedding & was nice. Didn’t finish until 6pm. The wedding was relaxed, the food was excellent and the company was good & fun; got to see some friends from the Anderson & DeBeer family, and Jen from my C4 class in Tasmania. Also gave 3 young ladies a lift in my car, later finding out that 2 of them are one of my good friends (Ian Chanc) daughters, imagine the odds; I should have gone to the pokies. Anyway its 9:45 and im thinking about sleeping clear I am getting old.
